Dr. Amber R. Smith
CEO, Founder, and Lead Consultant at Jordan Atwater
Dr. Amber R. Smith is the CEO, Founder, and Lead Consultant at Jordan Atwater. She is a true believer that no matter your background, sexual orientation, religion, or race, we can all understand how to live, love, and learn well beyond our differences. This is why she created her in-depth, thought-provoking, and successful process called the R-Squared Method, which simplifies the concept of inclusion.
Through studying for her Ph.D. In Industrial Organizational Psychology, being the Vice President for Inclusion and Equity/ Chief Inclusion & Equity Officer for the University of Indianapolis, and leading a 10-million-dollar program that helps improve the academic performance and college experience for African-American students, she has gained extensive knowledge and understanding of inclusivity and equity that she would love to share with you and your organization.
A Life in the arts
Smith credits her comfort in ambiguity and willingness to embrace the grey, as being directly tied to her background in performing arts. Music, film, theatre, and dance have allowed her a unique perspective and creative tools to build dynamic experiences. Smith has led multiple organizations through their inclusion and equity processes resulting in more authentic, non-discriminatory relationships within the workplace. Much of this guidance fuses artistic elements that create resonance with us all.
Smith truly enjoys exploring better ways to understand inclusion and equity. She not only has a career in the subject, but she is truly passionate about bringing people of diverse backgrounds together. She is passionate about helping your organization become a more cohesive, inclusive, and united workplace.
